About the role

In this part-time position, you will work directly with our VP of Finance & Fund Operations, supporting a wide range of responsibilities within the finance and fund operations space, including:

• Portfolio company data: Managing KPI and data requests from our portfolio companies, ensuring timely collection and well-structured data. Additionally, analyzing incoming data and providing actionable insights for the investment team.
• Accounting and collaboration with our fund admin team: Parts of our back-office function are outsourced to a fund admin partner, while other aspects are handled in-house. Responsibilities in this role include supporting accounting and month-end close processes for in-house activities, as well as taking part in communication with our fund admin partner.
• Ad hoc analysis support and reporting: Responsibilities also include assisting with investor reporting. Given the dynamic nature of the role, tasks will vary, offering opportunities to support various ad-hoc projects for the right candidate.

First and foremost, this role requires the right drive, passion, and energy. We are a small team of highly dedicated people, and we expect the same from you.

In addition, you must be able to work independently and handle a wide range of tasks - sometimes simultaneously - so the ability to multitask and strong attention to detail are essential.

Some practical things:

• We expect you to have some experience in finance and accounting and to be pursuing a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• You have a strong interest in the VC industry and wish to expand your knowledge and experience.
• You are detail-oriented with a high standard for the quality of your work. You can work independently on assigned projects but also take the initiative to identify tasks and projects on your own.
• You are adaptable, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• You can communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
• You are a great team player but also enjoy working independently. Since we’re a small team, you’ll interact with everyone, so it’s important that you value collaboration and help out where needed.
• You have a natural curiosity, a high energy level, and an eagerness to take ownership of your work.
