All uizards receive 25 days of vacation, and we try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to vacation planning. If you want to make sure that you can schedule vacation in a certain period, please reach out as early as possible, preferably at least 3 weeks in advance, so your team can take it into account in their project planning. This being said, if you find yourself in a situation where you want to schedule a vacation last minute, make a request ​

We all feel unwell at times. Sometimes it's physical. Sometimes it's mental or emotional. Sometimes it's both. We're committed to caring for the whole uizard, and we encourage you to take a day off when you're feeling unwell (or your kids are unwell and you need to care for them).

We call them wellness days, so we can focus on you recovering, and maybe, even feeling magical The goal is to prevent health issues, burnout, etc., rather than treating it.

We have a small team and an aspirational mission, and we do our best to practice sustainable work habits. Everyone will have a lot going on at some point, and it might be too much. Listen to your body and brain. If you notice that you're feeling burned out, fatigued, or mentally exhausted, please speak up and ask for help (your manager is a great place to start). We're here to support each other.

Our goal is to create a parental leave that is as equitable as possible and act as an example for the future of work. All parents – regardless of gender or sexual identity – are treated equally at Uizard. We strongly encourage a timeframe of 14 weeks of fully paid time off.

With that said, parental leave time can vary from country to country. If it feels better, or is required by law, to take more than 14 weeks, we’d love to chat this over on a case-by-case basis and find a solution that works for the team and your family.

We believe that in-person time is critical to building a remote-first team. Every 3-4 months, we invite all uizards to spend a week in the Copenhagen hub. We work from the office together during the day and in the afternoons or evenings spend time having fun, from pétanque to bowling and shared team meals.

We hold annual trips where the team flies into one location for a week to work together, brainstorm, and deepen connections. So far we’ve been to Greece, Italy, and Portugal.

We know that having the right equipment can make all the difference when working. Today, Uizard provides Macbooks to all uizards for their work.
