THE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for a Deep Learning Engineer who is all about embracing a data-centric approach. Your mission? Developing both new and existing features for the product, particularly those with a significant computer vision component. You will be in charge of crafting high-quality deep learning models and systems around them.

Your focus will be on features integrated into our AI-powered design editor. Think of capabilities like screenshot scanning, helping users make their screenshots editable. We've got tens of thousands of users who rely on these features every week, so your work will have a real impact on their experience.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, train, and evaluate deep learning models for object recognition, panoptic segmentation, and other computer vision tasks.
• Design, collect, and curate high-quality large datasets and data pipelines to power deep learning models.
• Solve complete AI features: in most cases, you will be developing better DL models, but in others, you may have to come up with a new algorithm or integrate a foundation model. Whatever works to improve the product.
• Own end-to-end productionization of the systems: from prototyping new ideas to writing production code.
• Join forces with a top team of engineers and researchers in the development of libraries, tools, and features.
• Work closely with our DevOps team to deploy your models to millions of users.
• Collaborate with our app teams to integrate your models within the product, making sure we are serving the best experience to our users.
• Stay up to date with the field and pitch fresh ideas on how we can level up our product and workflows.

SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• +3 years of experience in developing Deep Learning based solutions, with a focus on Computer Vision problems
• Proved experience developing production systems taking a data-centric approach, iterating, and improving datasets.
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Hands-on experience and strong theoretical understanding of common computer vision tasks (Object recognition, Semantic segmentation, Instance segmentation,..)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail to improve our users’ experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

BONUS EXPERIENCE:

• Experience integrating and working with MLOps tools (DVC, W&B, FiftyOne, etc.) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Experience processing and training on large datasets.
• Experience working with foundation models (prompt engineering, etc.), particularly multimodal models.
• Interest and/or experience in design/frontend development.
