The company operates in the field of insurtech and offers insurance coverage to remote digital nomads through its Remote Health product, an application that offers personalized services for people outside their home country. It provides benefits such as emergency medical treatment, coverage for lost luggage, and travel delay, enabling online freelancers and entrepreneurs with transferable jobs and no fixed incomes to get themselves and their travel insured through cost-effective schemes in real-time. Sondre Rasch, Sarah Beyahte Sandnes, and Hans Nyvold Kjellby established the company in Palo Alto, California, in 2017.
