Bid Manager - EV charging SaaS solution - Monta

We are now looking to hire our first dedicated Bid Manager to support our strongly increasing sales activities in the Enterprise segment. As a Bid Manager, you will strongly contribute to this mission and growth by helping to further unlock potential with the largest and most important Enterprise customers. Some 60-80% of those prospects use structured requirement lists or full-scale tenders as part of their buying process - which you will fully own our response to.

You are both a goal-getter and highly quality-oriented. We like to think you have prior experience in bid/tender/response management, ideally from EV charging and/or SaaS or a relevant adjacent industry. As a person, you are quick to grasp complex content, self-driven, curious and are able to work with a diverse team to get the job done. Your strong business acumen allows you to correctly interpret our customers’ questions and respond in the best way possible.

Your primary focus will be to identify and qualify relevant national, European, and global tenders and respond to win. Leveraging Monta’s initial tender success since its inception, you will build out our bid process end-to-end and drive both answering efficiency as well as win rates. You will acquire the most advanced product knowledge of Monta’s offering and combine this with industry knowledge in SaaS, EV charging and adjacent mobility and energy services. You will work closely with the entire Monta team - from Product to Engineering to Legal to Finance and Support - to develop a strong content library and to answer complex questions of our customers within deadline.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify relevant private and public tenders and take in structured requirements from customers in our sales funnel, including prospecting into relevant channels
  • Review requirements and develop strong written proposals
  • Manage internal collaborators and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Submit tender responses directly for Monta as well as within partnerships
  • Monitor and track bid to completion
  • Engage with potential Monta customers and establish credibility and trust
  • Build and improve Monta bid process end-to-end, including business processes, tooling, performance management and governance
  • Prioritize tenders and time spent with internal stakeholders to maximize revenue


  • 3+ years of experience in bid/tender/response management
  • SaaS sales or related sales experience
  • Industry experience in EV charging and/or energy sector and/or AI and SaaS models
  • Experience with tender scraping tools (e.g. Mercell) and response management tools
  • Go-getter mentality
  • Business acumen: quick and strategic thinker, matching customer’s needs with our product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, results-oriented, and dynamic personality
  • Fluency in English, additional languages a plus (in particular DE, FR, ES)
  • Works well with a diverse team
  • Passion for clean technologies
