About Digitail
Digitail is on a mission to transform the veterinary profession with smart, customer-driven technology. We’re building the all-in-one operating system for animal hospitals – simplifying everything from client communication and patient care to scheduling and billing. Having just closed a Series B fundraise, we’re entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation.
As we scale, we’re looking for a People Operations Analyst to help us build a world-class employee experience. This is a foundational role that blends people analytics, process ownership, and hands-on HR coordination — ideal for someone who’s systems-minded, people-focused, and excited to help shape the culture of a fast-moving SaaS company.
About the Role
The People Operations Analyst will partner closely with our Head of People to build and maintain smooth, compliant, and employee-friendly HR processes for our multi-country team.
You’ll own key workflows across payroll, onboarding, employee records, and internal tooling, while also supporting strategic initiatives like performance reviews, compensation tracking, and internal events. A successful People Operations Analyst will play a key role in ensuring our people processes run reliably and efficiently, creating the foundation for a smooth and scalable employee experience. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their People Ops career looking to gain HR exposure in a fast-growing tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Core People Operations: end-to-end ownership of employee records management, benefits programs, HR systems & tools, and payroll (in collaboration with Finance)
- People Data & Reporting: track and report on key People metrics, compensation benchmarking, and collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment
- Talent & Onboarding: coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring smooth candidate experiences and effective ramp-up for new hires
- Internal Culture & Programs: support internal programs like events, performance reviews, feedback surveys, and culture/DEI initiatives
- Ongoing Process & Tooling Improvements: streamline HR workflows, maintain compliant documentation, and optimize tools and processes across the employee lifecycle
About You
- 1–3 years of experience: you’ve supported HR or People Ops functions before — from onboarding to payroll — and are familiar with how a people team runs behind the scenes
- Attention to detail & organization: you notice when employee records are incomplete, follow up without dropping the ball, and love creating clean, reliable processes
- Tools & systems comfort: you’re confident navigating tools like Google Sheets, Notion, or HR platforms (or similar!) – bonus if you’ve worked with Factorial, Deel, or ADP.
- Discretion & professionalism: you understand the sensitivity of people data and handle it with care, confidentiality, and a high standard of accuracy
- HR & payroll basics: you have a working understanding of general labor law and payroll practices, and you know when to flag questions or seek guidance
- High initiative: you’re proactive, ask questions when needed, and keep things moving without hand-holding
- Ownership mindset: you’re excited by the chance to take real ownership — when you see something that could work better, you run with it and make a visible impact
- Continuous improvement mindset: you enjoy bringing structure to messy workflows, untangling unclear handoffs, and making things run smoother for everyone involved
- Bonus – startup or global experience: you’ve helped scale people processes at a startup or supported a distributed team across multiple countries
Why Join Digitail
- Growth: Join a fast-growing, mission-driven SaaS startup improving the lives of veterinarians and pet parents
- Impact: you’ll have the autonomy to take initiative, drive meaningful change, and grow by doing – without layers of bureaucracy slowing you down
- Compensation: competitive salary and equity package, flexible to your preferences (i.e., optimize for PTO, salary, or equity)
- Hybrid Work: we’ve transitioned from fully-remote to a hybrid model, giving team members the chance to collaborate in-person at least three days a week from one of our hubs: Toronto (CA), London (UK), or Iași (RO).
