The Role:
We are looking to hire an experienced Software Developer In Test Engineer (SDET) to supercharge our testing strategies for our core products.
Our scaling Vet SaaS platform powers hundreds of vet practices every day to run their businesses end to end. Our Frontend team is responsible for building all features on the customer side of our products. As a SDET; you will work closely with our Backend and Frontend Engineering teams, Product leads, Engineering leads and Customer Success teams to build accessible and scalable products, with quality code at their core. What you will do:
Development and own end-to-end test automation frameworks, and integration of the framework with the CI/CD pipelines
Engage with Product Management to understand system level requirements and build effective test plans and test cases
Proactively troubleshoot bugs and issues, providing clear reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots to help reduce resolution time.
Mentor team members and provide continuous feedback.
Drive code and process improvement.
Collaborate with product and customer facing teams to resolve production issues that arise.
Ensure product quality and delivery.
Collaborate with Product to ensure features/changes meet business requirements and deliver against Product OKR’s
Work closely with designers and other engineers to gain understanding of new features, dependencies, and technical details
Drive engineering best practices with the team, leading on code reviews, pair programming and sprint planning
Your Experience:
Extensive development experience / SDET experience
Experience building automated test strategies
Effective stakeholder management and customer facing communication skills - translating to both technical and commercial audiences
Expert in the following Java or JavaScript / TypeScript or PHP
Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure
Experience working with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and containerisation technology
