The Role

As General Counsel, you will be the legal backbone of Corti, helping us scale globally while navigating complex regulatory landscapes. You’ll provide strategic legal counsel across all facets of our business from commercial contracts and corporate governance to employment law and compliance. You will design and implement the legal frameworks that empower Corti to grow, ensuring we operate with agility while mitigating risk.

We’re looking for a business-minded, hands-on legal leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll work closely with leadership on contracting, compliance, employment law, and corporate transactions, including fundraising and strategic partnerships. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of AI in healthcare while building a scalable legal function from the ground up.

Your Impact

• Commercial & Corporate Law: Own the full spectrum of commercial legal operations, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (customer agreements, partnerships, confidentiality, licensing, and procurement) across the US, UK, and European markets.

• Fundraising & Equity Programs: Support and advice on Series funding rounds, equity financing, cap table management, and employee incentive plans (including new warrant programs).

• Compliance & Regulatory: Establish legal policies ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, particularly in data protection (GDPR, CCPA), employment law, IP rights, and AI/healthcare regulations.

• Employment & HR Legal Support: Advice on employment law matters, including hiring, terminations, policies, and disputes, ensuring alignment with local and international labor laws.

• Governance & Risk Management: Maintain compliance with statutory filings and records, particularly across Europe and the US, and manage external legal counsel relationships in key markets.

• Executive & Board Support: Act as a key advisor to the board and executive team on legal matters, including corporate governance, risk, and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor or Barrister in the UK or Denmark preferred).

• Experience in a top-tier law firm, with additional in-house legal experience at a high-growth tech company (preferred).

• Strong understanding of IP law, commercial contracts, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in AI, SaaS, and data privacy.

• Ability to anticipate legal challenges in a scaling business and implement proactive solutions.

• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, capable of translating complex legal issues into actionable business advice.

• A highly organized, detail-oriented, and pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.

• A bias for action you’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast.
