Who We Are

Cobalt was founded on the belief that pentesting can be better. Our pentests start in as little as 24 hours and integrate with modern development cycles thanks to the powerful combination of a SaaS platform coupled with an exclusive community of testers known as the Cobalt Core. Accepting just 5% of applicants, the Core boasts over 400 closely vetted and highly skilled testers who jointly conduct thousands of tests each year.

Our award-winning, fully remote team is committed to helping agile businesses remediate risk quickly and innovate securely. Today, over 1,000 customers use Cobalt to run pentests on demand via Pentest as a Service, AKA PtaaS, a space which Cobalt pioneered (you could even say we wrote the book on it) and continues to lead.

Description

Cobalt is seeking an Inbound Web Intern to join our team for an eight-week internship program. The intern will gain hands-on experience in Inbound Marketing and content creation while assisting with various tasks related to our corporate website. The intern will be responsible for executing a provided strategy.

Example tasks include implementing an internal links strategy to enhance SEO and navigation. They will also be involved in content editing or staging, ensuring that our website content is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging. The position will also handle the updating of website images, ensuring they are properly compressed and named for optimal website performance.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in website management and digital marketing, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Assist in implementing SEO strategy onto Corporate website
  • Content editing or staging
  • Deploy or measure specific conversion rate optimization tasks
  • Collaborating with the team to implement improvements for website performance and user experience

A strong candidate will have:

  • Availability to work for a minimum of 30 hours a week. Please specify availability within your cover letter.
  • Collaborative and comfortable with working on cross-departmental projects
  • Editorial skills
  • Experience implementing digital marketing strategies
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Experience with HTML and Markdown
  • Experience with design tasks, such as preparing thumbnail images or visuals included within blog posts
  • A willingness to learn, help out, and go the extra mile.
  • Be driven and determined to continually grow as a person and as a professional.
  • Take initiative: Identify opportunities for improvement and take them to the next level without being told.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in managing your time and schedule in a rapidly-changing environment.

Pay Range Disclosure

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly rate for the Inbound Web Internship is $15 - $20 per hour (maximum of 30 hours/week). A candidate’s hourly rate is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The hourly rate may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
