About the role

  • In this full-time position, you will be working with a specific focus on handling byFounders' external communication and events. Selected areas of responsibilities is listed below:
  • Manage and expand our current communications strategy: This is includes responsibility for our overall communications strategy, with input from the team and partner group, and monitor, engage, and share updates on LinkedIn, write quarterly newsletters highlighting community activities, and coordinate updates on our website.
  • Execute and coordinate community events: In addition to our intimate events and dinners, you will be responsible for the execution and coordination of annual flagship events like our annual Summit and Voyage, our presence at conferences like TechBBQ and Slush in Helsinki and seasonal events (e.g. Christmas and Summer events). Responsibilities will be end-to-end, meaning: Planning, supplier relations, managing invites through Luma and executing communication through Mailchimp - and everything in between.
  • Team coordinator: Supporting with office administration and general team management tasks, and help with the practical steps of our community onboarding process. This would involve tasks like planning team off-sites, Christmas parties and making sure that our office is nice and tidy (and hopefully properly decorated for the holidays?)

What we’re looking for

  • This role requires a high level of independency, energy, multi-tasking, and attention to detail. You need to be motivated by keeping a cool head tending to routine tasks, while still learning new things continuously.
  • Strong experience from communications previous communications roles is expected. Hand-on experience from event coordination is definitely a plus as well.
  • Being able to properly communicate - verbally and written - in both Danish and English is a must.

Some practical things:

  • You are detail-oriented with a high bar for the quality of your own work and can work independently on assigned project but can also identify tasks and projects on your own.
  • Minimum five years of experience from similar roles is a preferred.
  • Experience with tools and platforms like Slack, Webflow, LinkedIn, Pitch, Notion, Airtable, Luma and Mailchimp is a benefit.
  • Must be adaptable and have very strong organizational and time management skills.
  • You are a great team player, but you enjoy working independently. We're a small team, and you’ll have exposure to everyone. It's important to us that you see the importance of establishing good working relationships across teams and functions, and that you help out where needed.
  • You need to display a natural curiosity coupled with a high energy level and an eagerness to take ownership of your work.
  • Experience within VC and startups is not a requirement. However, we hope that you have an interest in the industry and that you’re eager to familiarize yourself with the startup ecosystem and our community.
